21 May 2008 08:40Fashola is one the few Governors really working. You can see the results and he does not need loud-mouthed ‘Media Assistants’ and Propagandists to inform or mis-inform the people that he is working while he is busy siphoning public funds and travelling to India, Malawi, Bahamas and other unlikely places to attract ‘foreign investment’ like some Governors. Governor Fashola is the only Governor in the South-West not going around amassing Chieftaincy titles or engaged in frivolous ‘Owambe’ antics. Fashola is not betraying his education and calling by his actions and he is the only Governor for now not tainted and not likely to be tainted by any rumour of corruption in and out of office. You could feel the aura that he radiates and his commitment to make a change. How many Governors are working with real professionals instead of party lackeys in Nigeria? None except Fashola.
I pray that he does not get derailed and that he succeed in the quest to turn Lagos around for better. We are already seeing the positive changes even though some who are profiting from the chaos in Lagos are resisting mightily but the truth shall prevail and Fashola will and must succeed.
By the way, I am not a Lagosian and do not reside in Lagos but just proud of what the guy is doing.
